FBI Warns Against Potential Terrorist Attacks Against Law Enforcement In US

Federal authorities, namely the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, have produced a report warning of attacks from homegrown ISIS members or supporters on US law enforcement.

Following the attacks in Canada, including the attack against police officers and the attack against Parliament, this warning now seems especially relevant.

The report was produced in October 2014 and is titled, “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and Its Supporters Encouraging Attacks Against Law Enforcement and Government Personnel.” The report is labeled, “UNCLASSIFIED/FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY” and states that it should not be released to the public, media, or anyone else not authorized by the DHS.

It was handed over by a trusted federal agent who did so on condition of anonymity.

Both the FBI and DHS warn US law enforcement personnel to monitor their surroundings and monitor their families on social media so as to “avoid revealing FBI or law enforcement affiliation.”

The report also makes clear that the FBI is unaware of any specific imminent threats from ISIS on US soil. However, the report mentions ISIS threats against US military personnel, law enforcement, FBI personnel, government officials, and media figures.

A link to the full document, obtained by Breitbart Texas, is available here.

What do you think? Is it only a matter of time before ISIS targets US law enforcement personnel?

  1. Peter Brown. I think it is worse than the FBI is willing to admit to itself for the simple reason they can’t really fight against all of it because its roots are too deep in America and involves elements they have not been targeting for investigations as they did before President Obama and AG Holder took office…bet you can guess why. At least I hope so.
