Watch: Muslims Were Asked: 'US Constitution Or Sharia?'- Ben Carson’s Going To Want To See This

Sharia Law should supersede the U.S. Constitution, said some Muslims when surveyed by Fox News this week.

“The U.S. Constitution comes from people. Sharia Law comes from Allah,” said one man responding to Fox News’ David Webb. “The Constitution governs this country. Sharia Law governs the whole world. Of course it is above.”

Others spoke of Sharia Law protecting Muslims and their “dignity.”

This week, the Center for Security Policy released a poll reporting that of all Muslims surveyed, 51% agreed that “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Sharia.”

The Center also reported that nearly a quarter of the Muslims polled believed that, “It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed.”

Sharia Law has become a flash-point for controversy this week, following comments made Sunday by Republican presidential candidate, Ben Carson. Carson said that he would not support a Muslim for president, and that Sharia Law was fundamentally incompatible with the Constitution.

Carson has stood by his words, and has tried to clarify them for the media.

“If people listen to that interview, they’ll notice that I said that anybody, regardless of their religion or affiliation, if they embrace American values and they place the Constitution at the top level, that I embrace that person,” Carson said Tuesday. “It seems to be hard for people to actually hear English and understand it…Sharia law is completely antithetical to Americanism.”

  2. If someone wants to live under Sharia law, that would be fine. Problem is, is that many want non-Muslims to be held accountable under Sharia law too. Fortunately, for those of us who are Christians, we are no longer under the law, but under grace through Jesus Christ.

  3. 3 people against Islam versus 1 . And they don’t let him talk or defend himself . There is no such thing as killing gay, lesbian or people from other religions in Islam. People can practice their religion freely . Gays and lesbian gets a punishment if proven. Women in Islam can drive cars (Saudi Arabia and Iran doesn’t represent Muslim Sharia) . Islam did define some rules and restrictions but still it didn’t cover every aspect. Sharia can’t be the constitution in the US , simply because the majority doesn’t want it . These people you interviewed said they believe that Sharia can replace the constitution (Because its their religion) but didn’t say they are working on doing that .
