Why Ken Blackwell Believes This Version of the Obamacare Repeal Bill is Passable

Fox News’s Neil Cavuto showed a clip of Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi talking about the latest version of the Obamacare repeal bill. Shocker: she doesn’t like it.

Ken Blackwell, a former member of President Donald Trump’s transition team, said Rep. Pelosi doesn’t want to give the president a win on the Obamacare repeal, and that will hurt millions of people.

Obamacare is a failure, he said. It’s tanking the economy and hurting families.

The new version of the repeal bill isn’t perfect, but Blackwell thinks it’s passable. The measure would repeal the unpopular individual and employer mandates, Medicaid expansion funds, and give more power to the states.

What about Americans who want full repeal of Obamacare?

  1. Graham-Cassidy might have been passable if 1) John McCain hadn’t stiffed the president, and his “friend”, Senator Graham, in order to polish his ‘maverick’ image, and 2) If Chuck U. Schemer hadn’t colluded with Jimmie Kimmel to use his late-night show to lie about what the bill would do. Unless there’s a political miracle at work somewhere between now and September 30th, Obamacare remains in place and funded, and the Gimmecrats continue marching us all to the disaster of single-payer. If we ever actually get there, you can kiss goodbye forever to any chance of ending taxpayer funding for Planned Parethood.

    • I’m afraid you’re right. It seems that these days more people are more worried about losing their entitlements than of losing their freedom.

  2. What about Dr. Rand Paul’s 3rd option: effectively “scrap” Obamacare by allowing individuals to purchase group plans (e.g., plumbers, food service workers, gardeners, etc.) across state lines ?
