From the Archives: What’s Missing on the Martin Luther King Memorial

In light of the tax-funded Smithsonian’s treatment of black American conservatives in the new black history museum, we decided to re-post a video of Star Parker speaking to pastors about what’s missing on the tax-funded Martin Luther King memorial near the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

“There is a controversy going on right now that not only is there no sign that [King] was a preacher…in charge of a great moment in history — whether we were going to be biblical and free or secular and statist — they decided that they weren’t even going to showcase much of that civil rights era,” Star said. There is “more mention of demilitarizing…unionizing, and you’ll see a lot about Vietnam, but very little about the African American experience.”
