Star Parker on Victory News — What Happened at the Federal Detention Center Holding Jan. 6 Detainees

Star Parker recently appeared on Victory News to discuss what happened at a federal detention center last week. Lawmakers and others sought to enter the facility that held detainees from January 6, but prison officials refused them entry, kicked out those who made it inside, and closed the door in their faces.

Star and her team reported events at the detention center.

“There have been disturbing reports of how these Americans are being treated,” she said. “We took our camera crew to the detention center to see first-hand how these prisoners are being treated and to see these friends in Congress pursue justice in this situation. The door was shut in their faces and makes you wonder what they are trying to hide.”

Star explained on Victory News that they’d kept hearing stories of mistreatment of the detainees. Prison officials told lawmakers that they were trespassing and would be arrested.

“Our media team was in there and witnessed the whole thing,” Star said. “We then left that facility and went over to the Capitol,” where Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas continued to share their limited findings. Lawmakers believe the Jan. 6 detainees are not getting due process of the law.

Star made a note of something at the facility. She said what was fascinating to her was that “all of the people in authority were African American, and the legislators were all white, and the mistreatment of these legislators and the disrespect was very telling.”

How so? Listen to Star’s segment, which begins at 18:05.
