  1. Dr. Allen makes an interesting point. Part of the “distinction” of African-Americans can be found in the battle for civil rights of all people (e.g. how the ADA benefitted people with disabilities). Around the world, protest, tactics therein, and the clarion call for liberty is largely traced to the Civil Rights Movement here. People at home and abroad have learned from the Black struggle for equal rights.
