A concerned mother spoke at a school board meeting about what she thinks of “critical race theory” (CRT) being taught in schools.
Quisha King has one child in a government school and one in private school, “thanks to school choice.” According to CRT doctrine, children are permanently considered oppressed and oppressor, based on the color of their skin. “That is not teaching the truth, unless you believe whites are better than blacks.”
King said she’s heard teachers teaching CRT. A school assembly was shut down because the school separated students by race. She calls CRT dangerous.
“I don’t know about you, but telling my child or any child that they are in a permanent oppressed status in America because they are black is racist, and saying that white people are automatically above me, my children, or any child is racist as well.”
