Walter Hoye: Divided Hearts of America Movie Trailer

Since Dred Scott v. Sandford (1857), Slaughter-House Cases (1873), Plessy v. Ferguson (1896), Buck v. Bell (1927), Korematsu v. United States (1944), Roe v. Wade (1973), and Doe v. Bolton (1973), the United States Supreme Court has denied legal protection to “persons” they deemed to be inferior human beings.

As a result, our nation has been and is being torn apart.

But what if there’s one big thing at the center of it all?

In Divided Hearts of AmericaSuper Bowl champion and Executive Producer Benjamin Watson goes on a journey to discover the truth about abortion — a subject that has been at the center of heated debates since the passage of Roe v. Wade in 1973.

Benjamin Watson sat down with over 30 experts in various fields and from both sides of the ideological and political spectrum and asked the question:

Can the most divisive issue of our time actually bring us back together again?

“Abortion in America has been a hot topic issue for decades. If you’ve ever wrestled with the abortion debate, Divided Hearts of America is a must-see movie. With more than 30 insightful interviews, this documentary seeks to bring humanity and understanding to both sides of the story.” — Benjamin WatsonSuper Bowl champion and Executive Producer

I agree with Ben.

We must continue to find ways to bring “humanity and understanding” into the equation.

We’ve got to get to the point where no person is deemed to be an inferior human being, where the term “person,” as it is applied to all living human beings, applies to all living human beings from the beginning of their biological development as human beings (i.e., human organism), regardless of the means by which he or she was procreated, method of reproduction, age, race, sex, gender, physical well-being, function, size, level of development, environment, and/or degree of physical or mental dependency and/or disability.

The new movie “Divided Hearts of America” is a godsend for such a time as this.

Cast: Benjamin Watson, Dr. Ben Carson, Alveda King, Katrina Jackson, Tim Scott, Melissa Ohden, Roland Martin, Liz Krueger, Gustavo Rivera, Ryan Bomberger, Randy Alcorn, Harold J. Cassidy, Carter Snead, Dr. Kathi Aultman, Dr. Monique Ruberu, and Walter Hoye.
