What Black Liberal Elites Are Doing to Black Families

detroitBlack families are losing their homes in Detroit because they cannot afford to pay their taxes for three years.

Here’s why this is on my radar: these are homes that are worth $5,000 but Detroit/Wayne County officials have refused to update tax valuations since the 90s when the homes were worth $40,000!

Easy to fix, you would think, by simply revaluing the homes. But these elected officials — who are black — refuse to budge. Not only will they NOT revalue homes to the real valuation anytime soon, but they said they will only allow them to devalue at a maximum 15 percent!

Similarly, the NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus have united in their opposition to charter schools, refusing African Americans — who they say they represent — the chance to escape failing schools. This week, even The Washington Post editorial board wrote that the NAACP is out-of-touch and asked them to reconsider their position. But they won’t. The liberal black elite know they can do whatever they want without consequences because they’ve been doing it for 50 years.

Friend, 243 years ago our nation began a revolt over taxation, beginning with the simple act of dumping 342 chests of tea into the Boston harbor. It’s time to bring the revolt to America’s inner-cities, whose elected officials run with an iron grip on its people and on the direction of our country — from the laws passed in Congress to the massive influence on the election of the President.

We must take away the destiny of America from the black liberal elite!

I want to take the momentum from our Pastor Policy Summit a few weeks ago, where Senator Tim Scott and Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton spoke to African American pastors who want to wake up their communities from the liberal nightmare! We taught new ideas about freedom, from the protection of life to the protection of our property — the most fundamental basics of government.

Friend, it is lonely to be a black conservative, especially for a pastor who risks losing his congregation by daring to address issues of limited government. Our work connects more than 500 pastors across the country with others who can have their backs when it gets tough — and it will.

Let’s rise up our pastors and restore freedom in America. It’s time for revolt!

  1. It is such a shame. I have thought of this and I think that Democrats think from the top down. At the top they first ask how is this going to help me keep my position in the society. It is too much trouble to reach down and give these people a ladder or a life saver or work to find solutions to help give them the opportunity to advance their selves. I saw a poor community on tv the other night and thought it was in a third world community. It was a neighborhood in our own country. The Democrats will continue to give out free cell phones or other free things and then send them on their way. It is hard to believe that this is not real slavery. There has to be a change. We need to bring back a pride to our Country. When you see this you know that socialism is on the rise and I am not sure why people do not understand what that means. We will loose a middle class and a ladder to help us climb out of these circumstances. Thank you so much for keeping us alerted to these things. If nothing else this election has opened our eyes. I just hope we do not go back to where we were and say same old same old – business as usual.
