Dr. Ben Carson weighed in on the Ray Rice situation.
Ray Rice is a former football player for the Baltimore Ravens. He was caught on tape dragging his unconscious girlfriend out of an elevator. News sources reported that he’d assaulted her, and the Ravens suspended him for two games. Once a tape of the full encounter was released, which showed him knocking her out cold, the Ravens backtracked and suspended him indefinitely.
The woman Rice assaulted married him.
“Let’s not all jump on the bandwagon of demonizing this guy,” Dr. Carson said. He added that both Rice and his wife need help. What do you think?
I agree with Dr Carson. Judging people never gets us anywhere, and it’s not our job to judge anyone. Men should never his women and women should never hit men. And no one should accept getting hit. I think they both need psychological help first, separately, and counseling for their marriage together. I think they need our prayers, not our condemnation.
