Earlier this week, the Center for Medical Progress released a video that showed a Planned Parenthood executive, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, casually talking about selling the body parts of aborted babies (while eating salad and drinking wine). On the defensive, the abortion mill’s president, Cecile Richards, said this was “tissue donation” for “scientific research,” and Planned Parenthood doesn’t profit. She apologized for Nucatola’s “tone and statements.”
Planned Parenthood might have broken federal law. From National Review:
The harvesting, sale, and ultimate use of the tissue and body parts of aborted fetuses is governed by a 1993 federal law passed when the United States Congress enacted 42 U.S.C. 289g, regulating fetal research in general. In particular, 42 U.S.C. 289g-2(a) makes it unlawful for any person “to knowingly acquire, receive, or otherwise transfer any fetal tissue for valuable consideration if the transfer affects interstate commerce” (emphasis added).
Many pro-lifers are outraged and want lawmakers across the country to defund Planned Parenthood. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal ordered a state investigation into Planned Parenthood, and Republicans in Congress announced they will investigate.
Lawrence Jones of The Blaze showed up at a Planned Parenthood affiliate to find out what they had to say.
“Any comments about your executive harvesting baby organs? Any comments? Any comments?”
An employee told him to leave or she’d call the police.
Jones doubled down. “Why do you guys target black communities?”
As expected, he did not receive the answers he sought.
