Will 100 Black Pastors Endorse Donald Trump?

Although there reportedly was a “miscommunication” about the nature of Donald Trump’s meeting with black pastors today, Trump and the pastors are still scheduled to meet.

Last week, Trump’s campaign released a statement that a group of 100 black pastors was ready to endorse him for the GOP presidential nomination. But some pastors denied it, and Trump canceled a press conference that was to take place after the private meeting. From Christian Headlines:

“Probably some of the Black Lives Matter folks called them up and said, ‘Oh, you shouldn’t be meeting with Trump because he believes all lives matter,'” Trump said.

Trump says he still believes some of the 100 pastors will endorse him.

“I have no idea what the meeting is really. … We’ll see what happens. I don’t know it it’s an endorsement, I don’t know if it’s an endorsement by some,” he stated.

One of the pastors, Darrell Scott, senior pastor of New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, also believed the group would endorse Trump.

Can we assume the pastors might endorse Trump?
