Sheriff David Clarke: DNC Seems to Be Making Martyrs of Criminals

Sheriff David Clarke shared his reaction to Sen. Cory Booker’s speech at the DNC convention and the convention in general.

“What’s he so angry about? I mean, when Donald Trump uses that kind of passion, they say he’s angry, but the only thing [Booker] didn’t use was ‘a car in every driveway and a chicken in every pot.'”

The convention speakers talked around the big problem for Democrats this fall, the sheriff said, and that’s their flawed candidate, Mrs. Bill Clinton. She should have been under criminal indictment.

“She is a confirmed liar. She left people to die in Benghazi.” Sen. Booker acted as though these things don’t exist, “but that stuff matters to the American people.”

The stark contrast between the GOP and Democratic conventions is that “Donald Trump is the law and order candidate, and this DNC seems to be about embracing criminality and criminal behavior, trying to mainstream criminal behavior” and holding them up “as if they’re martyrs and symbols of the new civil rights movement…”

Sheriff Clarke said a common denominator in the police-involved shootings of the black men was resisting arrest.

“Where are the dads? When there are no fathers around to shape the behavior of young boys growing up, they grow up to be unmanageable misfits that the police then have to deal with aggressively.”

  1. Thanks for calling them out on that, sir.

  2. What if I ( a 69-year-old white grandmother of non-white granddaughters ) “chose” to not follow the directions of the leader of BLM who told white supporters to “go to the back” ? Can anyone just do what they want — it they have the muscle to get away with it ? Don’t we need LAW AND ORDER ?

I agree with Sheriff David Clarke. Too many people in places of power are “embracing criminal behavior.” When the prosecutor in Baltimore said that Freddie Gray “chose to run from the Police,” isn’t she admitting that he RESISTED ARREST ?

By the way, I AM NOT — ABSOLUTELY NOT — A SUPPORTER OF BLM. I am just making a point. I fully support the remarks / reaction of Sheriff Clarke.
