Abortion Advocates Won’t Like What’s Included in the House-Passed Obamacare Repeal Bill

The House of Representatives voted to narrowly pass a bill to repeal the former president’s signature law, known as Obamacare.

The bill would also repeal the unpopular individual mandate, which essentially forced taxpayers to sign up for an unwanted service, or face government penalties. The Supreme Court ruled the mandate constitutional, calling it a tax. The measure would replace subsidies with tax credits and phase out Medicaid expansion. Under Obamacare, states had to option to expand this entitlement program.

Most important to many pro-lifers, the bill would reduce the amount of taxpayers’ money going to Planned Parenthood for a year.

The repeal bill now heads to the Senate.
