Abortion Advocates Will Hate What Montana’s Governor Just Did

Thank God for red state governors.

Montana’s governor just signed five bills to protect the voiceless and vulnerable unborn. The legislature would have been able to do all these things before the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, but the case has bolstered pro-life efforts.

One of the bills the legislature sent to Gov. Greg Gianforte is called The Infant Safety and Care Act. Under this law, medical providers must attempt to save the lives of babies born after a botched abortion.

Fox News reported that residents voted NO on a similar referendum in 2022. They took issue with doctors facing criminal charges for violating the law.

Another pro-life bill Gov. Gianforte signed protects healthcare workers from discrimination if they refuse to assist in killing unborn babies because of ethical, religious, or moral objections. The legislature also made it clear that the “right of privacy” does not mean the right to kill unborn babies or receive taxpayers’ money to do it.

From Fox News:

The governor signed two other pro-life bills on Wednesday – House Bill 786 and House Bill 575. The former requires there to be reporting on all women in the state harmed by abortion drugs, such mifepristone. The governor claimed this bill will “hold those distributing these drugs accountable and shed light on the consequences of this practice.”

Gov. Gianforte likely will sign other related bills on his desk: a measure that bars taxpayers’ money from being spent on killing the unborn and one that prevents Medicaid spending on elective abortions.

In related news, an abortion facility in West Virginia last month dismissed a lawsuit against the state over a pro-life law because the two abortionists quit. “Dr. John Doe” quite “due to intervening professional obligations,” and sources didn’t report why the other one left.
