Does Gov. Tim Walz Support Infanticide?

Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota, opposes protecting babies born alive after botched abortions and believes women have the right to kill their unborn babies at any time during the pregnancy.

The Washington Examiner reported that Walz signed into law the Protect Reproductive Options Act, which codified a “fundamental right” to kill unborn babies without limits on the gestational age of the baby. The legislature also repealed a previously required 24-hour waiting period after an informed consent process before abortions.

Additionally, the legislature gutted the state’s bipartisan Born Alive Protection Act, which became law in 2015. Abortionists are required to take measures to preserve the life and health of a baby born alive after a botched abortion.

But the legislature repealed the reporting requirements under the law. And Walz signed the bill.

“At least 5 babies were born alive after botched abortions and left to die under Walz’s watch,” Roger Servino, vice president of the Heritage Foundation, wrote on X. “Two of these struggling babies were given ‘comfort care’ instead of medical care allegedly in violation of state law.”

Servino wrote about the former reporting requirements. The legislature repealed the law “exposing and outlawing this horror and replacing it with abortion-on-demand on the front end, and infanticide on the back end.”

Lila Rose, president and founder of Live Action, called it horrific. “Tim Walz supports infanticide.”

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America, said that Harris and Walz are the most pro-abortion ticket America has ever seen.

“With Harris and Walz as standard-bearers, the Democratic Party has become the ‘Shout Your Abortion’ party, with no limits for any reason even in the seventh, eighth or ninth month. In contrast to President Trump, JD Vance and the GOP, who support the right of the people to set limits on abortion and provide real options for mothers in need, Democrats have made it clear nothing – not the checks and balances built into our government, not the humanity of unborn children and not the true needs of women – will stop them from imposing all-trimester abortion nationwide.”

But abortionists and their supporters are very happy. Planned Parenthood called Walz “a solid choice to go head to head” with the pro-life Senator J.D. Vance.

Leftists are convinced that Tim Walz and his extreme pro-abortion positions will win over more voters in Midwestern states.
