We have no time to waste, and President Donald Trump is wasting no time.
His attorney general, Pam Bondi, is cracking down on sanctuary cities and states that harbor illegal aliens, Star Parker said on Straight Arrow News. Bondi announced that the U.S. Department of Justice is suing the City of Chicago, Illinois, and New York over their sanctuary policies.
“Trump and Bondi recognize that the first obligation of every government official is to protect the American people,” Star said. “When local governments protect violent criminal aliens from arrest and deportation, they put vulnerable people in every communities at risk.”
Star talked about what Bondi shared in her announcement. Gangs are wreaking havoc. President Trump’s first piece of legislation was the Laken Riley Act, which mandates the federal detention of illegal aliens accused of theft, burglary, assaulting law enforcement, or any crime causing death or serious bodily injury.
This law would have protected Laken Riley. Now it will protect other young women.
“Distressed communities across America need more economic investment but those communities and their people need to be safe,” Star said. “So President Trump and Pam Bondi recognize that these objectives are strongly linked. It’s time for officials at every level of government to get their priorities straight.”
