Power, Poverty, & Politics Podcast: Black History Month and the Lessons of Sin

On this episode of Power, Poverty, & Politics with Star Parker, she asks: why do we need Black History Month? Why not set aside months for other celebrate the history of ethnicities in our country?

Black history tells a uniquely important story in our nation. “It’s a story that no other race or ethnicity shares.” Star has no problem discussing it.  And both sides of the political aisle should be a part of this discussion. The topic shouldn’t be defined by liberals. Conservatives and Christians must be engaged.

Our ancestors didn’t choose to come here, unlike the ancestors of other groups. We were brought here by force and enslaved. In a nation founded on the principle of human liberty, almost one-fifth of the population were slaves. How should we understand this?
