Star Parker and her team at the Center for Urban Renewal and Education attended a Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America press conference this week to commemorate the first anniversary of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade (1973) and Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992).
The high court ruled in Roe that women had a “right of privacy” under the U.S. Constitution to kill their unborn babies. Casey upheld Roe and established an “undue burden standard” on states that sought to restrict abortion.
Dobbs returned the abortion issue to the states.
Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York, a Republican and pro-lifer, spoke at the press conference about what Congress is doing to protect the unborn.
In the clip below, Star mentioned the impact of abortion on black Americans and asked the lawmaker whether she was finding support from members of the Congressional Black Caucus or other liberals who represent districts impacted. Have these lawmakers been willing to work with pro-life lawmakers?
Are you finding anyone on the other side of the aisle willing to work with you to protect life in any way whatsoever?
