Gun Control and Jim Crow — Never Again

Protecting the Second Amendment is a perennial topic — an all-season right to keep and bear arms that must be defended at all times. That’s why we present this video from the Center for Urban Renewal and Education from 2013.

Law-abiding black Americans, especially, should be at the forefront of the gun-rights movement and shouting, “Never again will we allow the government to take our guns.”

“From Jim Crow until the present day, black urban communities have been under siege. During the Black Codes era, the right to bear arms was taken away and perpetuated during Jim Crow. Today, only 24 percent of black Americans say they own guns, and in communities like Chicago where there is the most stringent of gun regulations, murder rates from gun violence are the highest in the nation.”
