If This Funding Bill Passes, Liberals Will Be Livid

House Speaker Paul Ryan’s office boasted “conservative victories” in a bill before legislators this week called the “Make America Secure and Prosperous Appropriations Act,” for FY2018.

The bill would fund President Donald Trump’s proposed wall on the southern border to stem the flow of illegal immigration. The measure would also defund abortion giant Planned Parenthood, which receives over $500 million taxpayers’ money every year.

If Congress passes the bill without changes, members of the U.S. Armed Forces would get a pay raise, funding for underachieving government programs would decrease, and the federal government would be barred from discriminating against people who oppose killing the unborn. Under the new bill, funds for implementing Obamacare would be cut off, a possibility that would please many who oppose the former president’s signature “affordable” health care law.
