An Israel delegation testified on Operation Protective Edge before the United Nations in Geneva on Monday. The purpose of the testimony was to explain the IDF’s military activities during the conflict.

The Israeli delegation in Geneva is expected to answers questions before the UN Human Rights Committee. The Committee is currently investigating Israel’s compliance with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Compliance with the Human Rights Council has been a norm for Israel, the state that has been most censured by the 47 UN member states

A spokeswoman for the Justice Ministry stated that the UN forum is only to “provide information with regard to Operation Protective Edge”.

The United Nations will also conduct a probe into Operation Protective Edge in which Israel refuses to cooperate.

The United Nations has been blatantly biased in its investigation and criticism of Israel, ignoring the human rights abuses of Hamas against its civilians. Hamas has openly admitted to the use of human shields and only just last week UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon visited terror tunnels as well as traveled towns in southern Israel affected by Operation Protective Edge.
