Kroger and Sam’s Club Correct Listing ‘Errors’ — Won’t Sell Abortion Pill

Kroger and Sam’s Club will not sell the abortion drug mifepristone.

The Washington Stand first reported that the drug was listed on Kroger’s online catalog, but a spokeswoman for Kroger said the listing was an error, and the drug has been removed.

Mifepristone blocks the hormone progesterone, starving the unborn baby of nutrients.

As The Washington Stand noted, the abortion-inducing drug has been available in the U.S. for over 20 years. The Food and Drug Administration loosened restrictions in 2021. The drug made a resurgence after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade (1973) and Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992) in 2022.

Live Action News reported that the drug appeared on Sam’s Club’s pharmacy list but updated the story with a spokeswoman’s statement.

“We use a third-party vendor to aggregate medication pricing, and their tool provided incorrect information,” Allison Van Matre, senior director of Global Communications for Sam’s Club, told Live Action News.

In addition to killing the unborn baby, mifepristone can cause severe bleeding and a host of other problems. Other pharmacies that dispense mifepristone include Walgreens and CVS.
