America First Legal Puts Businesses with DEI Programs on Notice After Supreme Court Overturns ‘Affirmative Action’ in College Admissions

Legal firm America First Legal (AFL) has filed federal civil rights complaints against corporations like Starbucks, Anheuser-Busch, candy bar manufacturer Mars, and Unilever, parent company of Ben & Jerry’s, for hiring and promoting individuals based on race. AFL asked the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission to investigate these corporations.

AFL also filed lawsuits against public institutions like Texas A&M University for using race to admit, hire, and promote individuals. The legal firm in January filed a class-action lawsuit against six medical schools in Texas for “illegally using race and sex preferences in their admissions – a practice that violates Title VI, Title IX, and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.”

Now that the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled race-based admissions policies illegal in colleges and universities, AFL sent letters to corporations, law firms, and hospitals to put them on notice. All “diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs are illegal.

No more race-based “balancing” programs in hiring, training, scholarships, or promotions. These programs have always been against the law, AFL said, but corporations “use race and sex as a stereotype and as a negative, especially when it comes to heterosexual males, whites, Jews, and Asians, intentionally treating them worse than other job applicants and employees.”

AFL issued a warning:

Radical corporate CEOs, law firm partners, medical directors, and diversity consultants, beware—there’s no place to hide. AFL will find you and hold you accountable for any discriminatory actions you take.

AFL asks that anyone who’s been “victimized by woke politics in the workplace or at school” through illegal discrimination to share their story here.

    These are certainly changing times. Let’s look at Major League Baseball: In 1981 the percentage of American-born Black players was just over 18%. At start of 2023 season, the percentage had dropped to just under 7% and falling precipitously. Is “DEI” a good idea for professional baseball, or should little Black kids pen their athletic dreams on just basketball and football? (all of which, of course, is a dream that very, very few kids realize).
