Alliance Defending Freedom asked college students about whether they support free speech and, specifically, whether they support Christian web designer Lorie Smith’s right not to endorse a message she opposes.
Smith, who believes that marriage is the God-ordained union between one man and one woman, recently argued her case before the U.S. Supreme Court. The state of Colorado could force her to design web sites for homosexual “weddings.” She faces fines and loss of livelihood.
Even college students know: “It’s not really free speech if you’re being forced to say something.”
Government compelled speech is unconstitutional. If they can do it to Lorie Smith, they can do it to any one of us. pic.twitter.com/GnKGIx7SqR
