“Israel is a beacon of freedom and a strong ally of the United States,” Star said in a statement. “For those who value democracy and the rule of law, Israel represents a rare and crucial example in a region fraught with instability. Israelis fight in order to survive. Hamas fights because they want to kill. We must come together and stand with Israel and against those such as Rep. [Rashinda] Tlaib.”
