The ACLJ Has PROOF That Massachusetts Colluded with Abortion Advocacy Group to Shut Down Christian Pregnancy Centers

Has the state of Massachusetts colluded with an abortion-advocating organization in a smear campaign to shut down Christian pregnancy centers?

That’s what the  American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ) alleged. Now the ACLJ said it has proof of the collusion.

ACLJ and the Massachusetts Liberty Legal Center filed a lawsuit in 2024 against Governor Maura Healey, the Department of Public Health (DPH), and Reproductive Equity Now (REN) on behalf of a pro-life pregnancy center alleging that the state government colluded with the pro-abortion organization to shut down centers that save unborn babies’ lives.

The state and REN claimed the issue was protecting consumers, not harassing pregnancy centers. ACLJ’s allegations range from selective prosecution, public threats, and state-sponsored advertising campaigns. From ACLJ:

Now, thanks to thousands of pages of internal communications and planning materials obtained through public records requests, we can say unequivocally that our allegations are confirmed and supported by the government’s own documents.

ACLJ said the state received only two complaints against pregnancy centers between 2022 and 2024. REN filed both complaints, not individuals concerned about “consumer protection.”

“The most damning revelation?” ACLJ wrote. “DPH and REN were planning this campaign long before any complaints existed.”

The list of proof is extensive.

And this won’t surprise pro-lifers: there were at least eight complaints against abortion clinics. Did the state investigate?

ACLJ said NO.

“No public awareness campaigns were launched in response. No billboards. No press releases. No license threats. No subpoenas. In fact, at least one abortion clinic that failed a health inspection didn’t have follow-up visits, in violation of state requirements.”

The fight to protect the vulnerable and voiceless unborn continues. We’ll update this story as it develops.
