Obama Makes Alarming Prediction About Iran Deal and Terrorist Attacks

President Obama met with a group of Jewish leaders in the White House Tuesday, warning of the consequences if the nuclear deal between world powers and Iran does not pass in the U.S. Congress. Vice President Joe Biden and National Security Adviser Susan Rice were also present at the meeting.

The meeting is part of Obama’s campaigning and advocating of the nuclear deal while it is under review by the Congress.

Obama was reported to have stated that the failure “would be destructive both to the US and to Israel,” and that “An American military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities will not end with Iran declaring war on us. Iran’s defense budget is $15 billion. The American defense budget is $600 billion. What Iran would do, and could do, is respond asymmetrically by increasing its support for terrorism…Hezbollah rockets will rain down on Tel Aviv.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu had addressed American and Canadian Jewry just hours before Obama’s meeting stating. Addressing members of Jewish Federations in North America, Netanyahu warned: “The nuclear deal with Iran doesn’t block Iran’s path to the bomb, it actually paves Iran’s path to the bomb. Iran can get to the bomb by keeping the deal, or Iran could get to the bomb by violating the deal.”

Obama also stated during the meeting that Prime Minister Netanyahu refuses to meet with him as it “would be, for him, like waving a white flag, and Netanyahu wants us to keep fighting over the agreement.”
