In Virginia, Parents Will Decide Whether Their Children Wear Masks in School

The Virginia legislature recently passed SB739, which, among other things, will allow parents to decide whether their children will wear masks in schools. Parents won’t have to provide the school with a reason.

Governor Glenn Youngkin this week signed the bill into law.

“Children have not only suffered learning loss, they’ve suffered relationship loss,” he said at the signing ceremony. “And now’s our chance to give all parents the rights to make decisions that we know they have. Let’s put it into law.”
