Security Walls for the DNC Convention — But Not for Our Country?

For some reason, leftists don’t like walls on the border. They have walls in their homes, with doors that lock. Some live in gated neighborhoods with armed security.

But when it comes to maintaining law and order, the rule of law, and respect for the process of legal immigration, they want the gates wide open. Why? Follow the money.

When Donald Trump was president, he wanted to build a wall on the southern border to protect Americans, and leftists resisted him all the way. They called it racist and xenophobic to protect Americans and the integrity of our border. And besides, they said, walls don’t work. But as we saw at the DNC convention, they had plenty of walls that, somehow, worked.

“Apparently, walls and other barriers work when they’re protecting elite politicians from progressive protesters,” Star Parker said on Straight Arrow News, “but they’re racist when we seek to maintain order at America’s border. In order enter the convention center, attendees were required to also provide ID, photo IDs. When Republicans in Congress and state legislatures had proposed photo IDs required for voting progressives, they argued that such a requirement is unnecessary and racially discriminatory.”

Star also talked about Gov. Tim Walz’s delay in calling up the National Guard for several days during the George Floyd riots in 2020. Progressive politicians welcomed police at the convention, but not during the riots.

“The candidates and other speakers said they are committed to protecting democracy, but they continue to oppose common sense measures to protect our election system,” she said.
