Katrina Pierson first entered the national stage back in 2009 when she spoke at a Dallas Tea Party event. A divorced mother, Pierson grew up poor. She was arrested for shoplifting, an incident she said helped her change her life for the better.
Although she voted for Barack Obama in 2008, Pierson later joined the tea party movement and made an unsuccessful run for office as a Republican. She eventually became Donald Trump’s spokesperson during his campaign for president. Now she works for America First Policies to support the president’s agenda.
