Nadra Enzi: Why I’m Very Worried About Our Political Climate Leading Up to the November Election

I’m very worried that political manipulators will abuse everyone’s frustration about crime and the economic shutdown to hurt innocent people of all pigments and parties to gain more power.

Fellow grassroots security consultants, we can’t let that happen. We have a right to our varied beliefs, but it’s not right to be targeted for those beliefs and pitted against each other like ideological scorpions battling in a sealed jar.

If we stay calm, if we debate but not destroy, and if we stay aware and carefully care (reach out to holders of differing views ), we win!

And by “win,” I don’t mean partisan electoral victory. I mean instituting a healthy environment for the upcoming election to take place.

Winning, in this context, means no alarming uptick in assaulting people because of how they look or vote, and no large-scale rioting egged on by politicians smelling blood in the water and whipping folks into a frenzy.

We can decide how sane or insane conditions will be for November’s presidential vote. For skeptics, I add this caveat: if we have an election.

Some Americans are concerned it won’t even happen.

We are the grassroots security consultants who will either create a safe environment for voters to vote their conscience or produce an unsafe one where rage and fear prevail.
