CNN’s Chris Cuomo tried to bait Dr. Ben Carson into another “controversial” remark about homosexuality. Cuomo called the homosexual lobby’s efforts to use the government to punish Christians for opposing the lifestyle a “very important issue” that Dr. Carson wouldn’t be able to “duck” as president.
(Of course, Cuomo doesn’t frame the issue this way, but that’s exactly what’s happening.)
“I would like to see as much emphasis on the rights of Christians and people who are members of the faith community as there is to some of the other groups,” Dr. Carson said. “I would like to see a much greater conversation about Christians and their rights. Why are we not talking about that?”
“I think we are right now, doctor,” Cuomo said. Dr. Carson certainly was, but Cuomo was not. As a liberal, he’s pushing the homosexual lobby’s agenda to secure special rights above the country’s founding principle of religious freedom. Cuomo said, with a straight face, that homosexuals get “far less legal protection under the Constitution” than Christians.
That’s not a misstatement; it’s a lie. Homosexuals have the same civil rights as everyone else. Those who want to “marry” someone of the same sex want to impose their views on Christians, whose God calls homosexuality a sin.
“The important thing is for us as a nation to recognize that all citizens of the United States are protected by our Constitution,” Dr. Carson said. “We need to stop deciding that one group versus another group is the flavor of the day.”
I could care less what anyone from CNN or for that matter anyone with the surname of Cuomo has to say. And you were raised Catholic. Chris? Disgraziato! Merda!
Freedom for all. Freedom to have a cake made and freedom not to make a cake. Christian have been under attack since that Jewish man died and historic came back to life. Freedom to believe that or freedom not. Christians have be beheaded, boiled in oil. Hung set on fire. Told not to say merry Christmas. Told not to say God bless. Forbidden to read the bible. So christians have been under attack for 2000 years. Christian came here to America to practice there beliefs. So Gays can have there cake. But if a Christian says no. Then grow up and bake your own.
It’s always great to see a true man of courage and conviction stand firm on biblical principle.
I think Dr Carson is spot on. This host talked to him as though he were a child or something. If that wasn’t racist, I don’t know what is! How dare he talk to this brilliant doctor with such a lack of respect!
