One year ago, a jury convicted an abortionist called Kermit Gosnell of murdering babies born during abortion attempts and a woman who died during a procedure. For 17 years, no one inspected Gosnell’s facility. As Star Parker noted in a recent column, the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, signed into law by President George W. Bush, is mostly symbolic; otherwise, someone like Gosnell likely would have been stopped much earlier. He managed to commit these horrors for years without scrutiny.
Despite the horrors of Gosnell, the media doesn’t seem to care much about what he is and what he did. Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer want to change that. They started a fundraising campaign to make a documentary about “America’s biggest serial killer.” We’re pleased to announced that the folks at Gosnell Movie have reached their goal: $2.1 million.
Gosnell will be in prison for the rest of his life.
