April Jace, whose husband, actor Michael Jace, shot and killed her on Monday, worked in the financial aid office at Biola University, a private Christian school. (In my previous personal blogging days, I spoke at a few Biola-sponsored Christian bloggers conferences.) Sources reported that Jace shot his wife and mother of his children during an argument about money.
“We are obviously shocked and saddened by this terrible news, to lose a wonderful colleague, mother and friend,” Biola president Barry H Corey said. “The Biola family will stand with this precious family and the employees who are grieving today, and my prayer is that the God of all comfort will be our refuge and peace.”
“April’s radiant personality brought great energy to the Financial Aid Office,” senior financial aid director said. “Her love for helping students and families and her great work ethic earned the respect and love of her coworkers. Her smiling face and helpful spirit will be missed by all.”
Jace called 911 after he shot his wife. Prosecutors initially charged him with homicide, but that charge was upgraded to murder.
