WATCH: Dr. Alveda King on Protesting Peacefully

Dr. Alveda King contrasts the protests of the 1960s civil rights era with the mob destruction in Ferguson. She says the non-violent protests her father and uncle (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.) participated in were effective. They brought about changes, peacefully, without destroying what belonged to other people.

Dr. King mentions a black woman in Ferguson whose antiques store was firebombed. The woman asked how would destroying her business bring about justice? Lots of good stuff in this interview.
