The Biden administration recently announced that the COVID-19 public health emergency will come to an end on May 11.
Hadn’t it already ended?
Regardless, it’s clear that the administration used the public health crisis for its own political agenda. Democrats exploited the pandemic to increase government control and validate leftist ideologies.
Star Parker recently appeared on Straight Arrow News to discuss the end of the “emergency” and the beginning of change.
“Last year, the Biden administration argued that the emergency is over as a way to justify the end of Title 42,” Star said. “Title 42 is a public health authority that was instated by President Trump. It allowed border officials to expel migrants without allowing them to apply for asylum in order to limit the spread of COVID. Only a few months later, though, President Biden stated that the health emergency was not over in order to justify his completely unlawful, irresponsible, massive forgiveness of student loans.”
Now that Republicans control the U.S. House of Representatives, Star said, now the Democrats want to declare the emergency over. Star said she hopes the Republicans will push back on the agenda that’s been in place for the last 18 months. Hold all of them accountable.
