Biden’s Approval Numbers a ‘Slow Start’ Compared to Trump and Obama

According to the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, 48 percent of likely voters approve of President Joe Biden’s job performance so far, with 47 percent expressing disapproval.

Thirty-six percent of 500 likely voters via telephone survey strongly approve, with 40 percent who strongly disapprove.

The Washington Examiner reported that Biden’s numbers are a “slow start” for him. At a similar point in 2016, former President Donald Trump had an approval rating of 56 percent, with 44 percent who disapproved of his job performance.

“President Biden’s opening approval rating isn’t much to cheer about, coming in below that of his two predecessors…Notably, he is underwater with women (46% approve, 48% disapprove) and whites (43% approve, 51% disapprove).”
