CURE founder and president Star Parker recently appeared on Victory News to talk about a variety of topics, including the so-called transgender bill of rights and the filibuster.
The host asked Star about the left pushing their ideologies with the “rights” bill. She said the left is trying to pull the church into a cultural war that’s been “boiling for quite some time.” Star calls it “appalling” that today’s progressives are using the Civil Rights Act of 1964, a bill passed to correct injustices against black Americans, to further their agenda.
“Black people in this country should be absolutely upset that these types of folks that are actually — contrary to everything the Bible says — are attempting to piggy-back onto such an incredible piece of legislation, the Civil Rights Act.”

Republicans passed the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution on behalf of former slaves to abolish slavery, to grant citizenship and civil rights to emancipated slaves, and to guarantee their right to vote.
The Democratic party hated this at the time.
