Blame Obama for Brexit, Benghazi and Istanbul

Obama’s phony “redline” started this mess.

It’s time to give President Obama his due. He’s one of the worst presidents in American history, and that’s not hyperbole. Think about it. What’s the common thread between Brexit, Benghazi and the latest Istanbul terrorist attack? Islamic terrorism and the international leaders that have ignored the severity of the threat.

Why did Defense Secretary Ash Carter announce on Thursday that mentally ill men and women who believe they belong to the opposite sex are free to fight in combat and receive full medical benefits from the military? In order to divert attention away from the fact that the world is on fire under the leadership of his boss! President Obama is doing everything he can to run away from his true legacy: The world is a more dangerous place with him at the helm. Don’t believe me? Let’s start with Brexit.

Seriously, can you blame the U.K. for Brexit? Detractors have argued that Great Britain’s exit from the European Union (EU) would amount to economic calamity. Although that remains to be seen long term, so far, despite an initial plunge in the stock market, the U.K. appears to be recovering. However, the real economic threat that more than likely hastened its departure from the EU is the lack of parliamentary sovereignty as it relates to trade and immigration, particularly Muslim immigration. What the U.K. couldn’t afford was to remain in the EU as one of many nations who weren’t allowed to govern themselves. Particularly, when you consider the number of Syrian and Iraqi refugees flowing into their country after Obama’s phony redline against Syrian President Bashir Al Assad helped to incite a new war between Sunni and Shia Muslims, which, by the way, created ISIS! Imagine the financial strain on the economy of any nation when its leaders don’t have the power to regulate their own immigration policy.

Surely, if America survived its independence from Great Britain, the U.K. can survive independence from the EU.

Now, let’s consider Benghazi. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton receives the bulk of the blame for the incompetence that led to Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty being killed at our mission in Benghazi, Libya. However, I’m not certain she should. The mistakes in Benghazi and the lies about Benghazi are a direct reflection of the policies that flow from the White House. The president is simply MIA when it comes to dealing with the international threat of Islamists. For the sake of his legacy, he’ll continue to ignore the threat until the day he leaves office. In the latest Republican Benghazi report, Reps. Jim Jordan and Mike Pompeo, arrived at five conclusions:

President Obama misled the American public about the events in Benghazi.
Security in Benghazi was woefully inadequate given the risk to our facility, and Secretary Clinton missed a clear chance to protect the people.

When, things went bad, the Obama administration did nothing to rescue our fellow Americans. President Obama broke his promise to bring those responsible for the attack to justice.

Not only was the Obama administration unwilling to cooperate with the committee’s investigation, they did all they could to obstruct it.

Does this sound like an administration willing to curtail any threat posed to Americans by Islamists?

Lastly, when we consider the fact that Islamic terrorists are dedicated to a worldwide caliphate, it does us no good to pretend as though they’re not trying to advance their cause. Doing so only invites more attacks like the most recent ones in Istanbul and Orlando. Every time we neglect to push back against ISIS, or any other Islamic terrorist organization for that matter, it emboldens them to cause more chaos and destruction because they’re convinced they’re winning.

Whether Obama likes it or not, the world has determined that the United States, under his leadership, is a paper tiger. There’s no telling how many lives could have been spared at the hands of terrorists had he taken them seriously.
