CURE Summit Reflects a Groundswell of Black Leaders, Clergy

At this year’s National Annual Policy Summit, CURE proved that America’s founding values are not dead—and black voices are some of their leading proponents. 

Washington, D.C. – Two weeks ago, the Center for Urban Renewal and Education held its 2022 National Annual Policy Summit, an in-person conference that convenes pastors from the black community to learn from and share ideas with a distinguished list of speakers and guests.

According to CURE founder and president Star Parker, “Our annual summit is the capstone of the amazing work that our staff and resident scholars do all year long. By sparking conversations and building relationships between black intellectuals, policy advocates, elected officials, and pastors, CURE is helping to restore America’s founding principles and ensure a bright future for our nation’s most distressed and underserved communities.”

In the wake of the Dobbs decision this year, the summit focused heavily on pro-life issues, but also hit upon themes like education choice, religious freedom, the economy, and the 2022 election.

The annual summit will convene again in the nation’s capital in Fall 2023.
