Debunking the Hanger Abortion Myth

I love it when a pro-abortion mantra is proven to be a blatant lie. It’s especially gratifying when the source of the lie dispels its own myth.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the perpetually self-contradicting world of Planned Parenthood. The billion-dollar abortion giant tells huge lies all the time (I call it mythomania). They mask their gender control agenda under the guise of “rights” and “reproductive health,” asserting their power over the grossly (or willingly) misinformed. If only we had an institution that would call out big government-funded corporations and their corruption. If only we had a well-financed network of organizations that would investigate these easily disproven myths. If only we had people charged with the responsibility of informing the public.

Oh, wait. We do. It’s called mainstream media. But the only thing they’re interested in mainstreaming is a steady stream of deception, distortion, and demonization (of prolifers, of course).

Any time prolife protections are passed in state legislatures pro-abortion forces decry the “onerous” regulations. I love, by the way, that they always use “onerous.” It must’ve been focus group tested, because it’s used all the time by Planned ParenthoodNARAL, “Catholics” for Choice, and other pro-abortion groups disinterested in actually protecting women, or any human life for that matter.

They share the same scare tactics so using the same vocabulary isn’t surprising. Hangers are raised and many tales of millions of deaths, pre-Roe, are told. Never mind the current-day butcher abortionists who, literally, get away with murder. Those women’s lives don’t matter to the rabid abortion lobby. These abortionists, though, are the same “back alley” butchers they’ve always been, protected by Big Abortion and their cheerleaders in the mainstream media.

But wait, Planned Parenthood declared back in 1959 that (gasp): “Abortion is no longer a dangerous procedure…90% of all illegal abortions are presently being done by physicians.” In fact, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s own Medical Director, Dr. Mary Calderone, clarified her remarks by saying these illegal abortions were “being done well by physicians.”

Planned Parenthood apparently forgot their own 1959 presentation to the American Public Health Association where Dr. Calderone also opined: “In 1957, there were only 260 deaths in the whole country attributed to abortions of any kind…Call them what you will abortionists or anything else [I’ll call them seedy millionaire butchers], they are still physicians. They must do a pretty good job if the death rate is as low as it is.” 1957 people. Nineteen…fifty…seven.

Well, liberal feminists, there you have it. It’s Women’s History Month. Go out there and correct the record. Hang up those hangers. Holster your hatred of the truth. And help women know the difference between being empowered and being fooled by those in power.

  1. Abortion is murder. It is getting harder and harder to understand why so many people still do not get that. It causes a death every time – an innocent life at that. But, just an FYI, God is coming back sooner than we think. He is not happy with abortion – abortionist and I would not want to on that side of God’s judgement. I will share this article on my blog hoping even one person gets it, Thanks.
