WATCH: Dr. Ben Carson on Vaccines and the Measles Outbreak

Why, in 2015, are we debating whether children should be vaccinated against diseases? I must admit, the pro-vaccine/anti-vaccine discussion caught me by surprise. I didn’t realize this had become a controversial topic.

Dr. Ben Carson recently weighed in on the controversy. He is pro-vaccine and opposes even religious exemptions. On a different news site, he said:

“We should not allow those diseases to return by foregoing safe immunization programs for philosophical, religious, or other reasons when we have the means to eradicate them.”

Dr. Carson clarifies Sen. Rand Paul’s “anti-vaccine” remarks and addresses whether vaccines cause autism and other disorders. Dr. Carson also mentioned the measles outbreak in California and illegal aliens.
