Dr. Ben Carson, who recently spoke a Lincoln Day dinner in Iowa, lays out the case for leadership.
He shared a remarkable story about performing surgery on a baby in the womb, a twin, diagnosed with hydrocephalus. There was a risk both babies would die because of the condition of one. The mother was about to go into labor any day. The surgery was experimental, and some criticized Dr. Carson because of the risk. Not only was the surgery successful, the story went national.
Afterward, the critics claimed they would have done the same! Human nature.
Politically speaking, Dr. Carson says Americans are not each other’s enemies, and we have to recognize this. Our strength comes from unity.
