The Center for Urban Renewal and Education, Michigan Lighthouse Ministries, African American clergy, and pastors from numerous denominations across Michigan held a press conference on October 7, 2024, the anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel. The pastors announced their support for Israel’s right to exist and to defend itself.
After the press conference, Dr. Ruth Pauline Plummer, First Lady of COGIC Israel and CEO of Covenant Daughters TV, spoke to other pastors about bridging the gap between black America and Israel.
Dr. Plummer said she never imagined she would live in Israel.
“Four years ago, we embarked on a significant journey that would redefine our lives,” she said. “Our church entrusted us with an important assignment: to represent it in a distant land. In order to fulfill this calling effectively, we made the bold decision to relocate to a country we had only read about, hoped about — amen– talked about, preached about, shouted about — hallelujah — and believed in.”
Dr. Plummer was in Israel when Hamas unleashed terror on October 7, 2023. She said she laid down in peace and woke up to war. Watch the rest of this important message below.
