Fixing Education — The Good News About Parents’ Rights

Parents living in low-income areas want choice when it comes to their children’s education, and they have a right to know what government schools are teaching them.

Parents’ rights is a winning issue. Star Parker, founder and CEO of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, recently appeared on Straight Arrow News to set the record straight.

Parents’ confidence in public schools stands at 28 percent, down from 32 percent in 2021, according a recent Gallup poll.

But teachers’ unions don’t care about confidence and don’t like school choice.

“It’s bad enough that the major teachers’ unions have decided to become advocates for one left-wing cause after another,” Star said. “They should not be allowed to indoctrinate children about their highly ideological agenda and to do so in a manner that hides this from the parents.”

With dismal test scores and leftist ideology in their faces all day, how will our children be able to compete on a global scale? But there is good news. Watch Star’s segment on Straight Arrow News to find out what it is.
