BCN contributer Ryan Bomberger of the Radiance Foundation recently posted the above video on the group’s YouTube channel. In a 2004 speech, former NAACP chairman Julian Bond said the right of “reproductive freedom,” which includes women killing their own children, is as basic as the right to sit at a lunch counter.
As you know, black women kill their unborn babies at three times the rate of white women.
It’s fashionable for “oppressed” groups to invoke the 1960s civil rights movement, a time when black people fought to be treated as full citizens in the country of their birth, the country in which they paid taxes, to bolster support for new and special rights. Homosexuals, for example, try to appeal to blacks to support their demand for special rights, or shame them into it, by analogizing race and sexual behavior.
I wonder if the people who risked their lives back in the day ever imagined their cause would be compared to such things.
Far worse, Julian Bond appears to boast that black women kill their unborn children at a higher rate.
