According to the U.S. Department of Labor Statistics, the national unemployment rate for May fell to 3.8 percent, the lowest in 18 years. For black Americans, the rate dropped from 6.6 percent to 5.9 percent.
The black/white gap narrowed to a record low, but are liberals happy about this? Hardly.
The Conservative Review’s Deneen Borelli lays it out.
The leftist media attacked President Donald Trump after he tweeted that he was looking forward to the May jobs report. They criticized him for hinting at the results before the report was released, breaking protocol. MarketWatch called what the president did worse than insider trading.
They needed something negative to add to the 24-hour anti-Trump news cycle.
Borelli reminded viewers that in February 2009, Barack Obama issued a bad-news statement about a jobs report the day before it was released, not merely hinting about the results. He even used the word dismal. Compare that to President Trump saying he was looking forward to the report.
Did the media accuse Obama of insider trading or leaking or influencing the market?
But what Rep. Nancy Pelosi said about the good-news jobs report takes the cake. Watch the brief clip.
Can’t we all just agree that the May jobs report is FANTASTIC?
Apparently not. Sigh.More @DeneenBorelli at #CRTV:https://t.co/ATooHMGh1Z pic.twitter.com/Rx8PFCSiYX
