According to Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton didn’t lose the election because she just wasn’t likeable. She lost because certain people didn’t turn out to vote for her. From Fox News (emphasis added):
The documentary, directed by Nadia Hallgren, followed the former first lady as she went around the country speaking at community events and fielding questions from everyday Americans, sharing what she learned after her husband’s two terms in the White House.
During the tour, Obama reflected on those who sat out the 2016 election, saying they could have swayed the results in Clinton’s favor.
“So, the day I left the White House, and I write about how painful it was to sit on that [inauguration] stage,” she said. “A lot of our folks didn’t vote. It was almost like a slap in the face.
So who, exactly, are these “our folks”?
Michelle needs to consider that her “folks” like many others could not stand the Democrat candidate.
I know who her “our folks” are, but she doesn’t represent, nor speak for, all of her “our folks.” Plenty of her “our folks” went out to vote, but were smart enough not to vote for “crooked” Hillary Clinton. It’s difficult to imagine just how more awful things would be during this Covid19 mess if she were in office.
Moochelle knows very well why ‘our folks’ didn’t vote — it just bends her all out of shape to admit they’re able to see through a lousy candidate.
A good day to you gentle readers as I sit here tastefully attired in official “Virginia my guvnor is idiot!” tee shirt and preface any sentence with my favorite phrase “I don’t want to be mean” you might as well dissolve in into gales of laughter since it is not just a lie it is a damned lie I am always mean and it comes naturally to me because as my late mother always said “the demon tempts me” and she knew her son all too well. I must confess there is so little that I can add to this discussion except the observation that everyone who has suffered any form oppression seems to become a conservative my one friend who escaped the Communists in Vietnam is a case in point all his beautiful daughters keep going to the United States Naval Academy to serve the United States as naval officers. Another Vietnamese refugee who I teased about chasing the “Horse Blanket” the nickname we veterans of the First Air Cavalry Division have for our patch had the unmitigated nerve to say to me that it was enough because you clowns put it all over the whole damned country. I was not really upset except that a distinguished senior officer would say that it was that I was annoyed that he knew we were clown. As for former first lady? Michelle Obama and her husband Barry a habitue of some of Chicago’s better bathhouses I dare not ask. As for their daughters I would love to see the DNA test on a Maury Povich “Who is the baby’s daddy?” episode.
