Netanyahu Promises 'Aggressive' Action Against Islamic Terrorists

BenjaminNetanyahuSilencePrime Minister Netanyahu held a press conference with Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Esienkot, Police Chief Bentzi Sau, and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan Thursday night to address the recent wave of terror across Israel and the country’s response and measures to ensure the safety of Israel’s citizens.

Netanyahu stressed that the wave of terror and violence are a result of Islamic extremism, and incitement by Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, but assured that Israel’s government, military, and police are taking all measures necessary to combat it. He stated that “We will take aggressive steps against the Islamic Movement in Israel and other inciter” and that the State of Israel “will prove that the terror won’t win and we will defeat it.”

Police Chief Bentzi Sau announced the deployment of 2,000 additional police officers in Jerusalem as well as cooperative security measures with the IDF and security authorities in order to protect Israel’s citizens.
